Blackpool Zoo
The Zoo, once housed in the tower, is now situated behind Stanley Park, a park that has delightful gardens and boating now draws the crowds with the wonderful Zoo. Well cared for animals in pleasant surroundings. A visit to the Zoo is both enjoyable and educational. Your kids will see animals only previously seen on the TV screen. A range of over 400 animals is available, including Lions and Tigers. There is an adventure playground available for your 'little monkeys' to let off steam.
Stanley Park Blackpool
Stanley Park can be a peaceful place to take in the sea air and relax amongst the formal gardens with their beautifully kept flower borders. There are fountains and paths enough for you to find your own quiet haven for the afternoon. Your kids can enjoy themselves at the play area. You can indulge yourself in the sun with a game of pitch and putt, crazy golf or bowls. It is also home to a multipurpose sports centre that incorporates a climbing wall and has facilities covering all manner of racquet, court and ball sports (badminton, netball, basketball etc) There are hockey and soccer pitches and an athletics track.
